Foz do Lizandro nearby Ericeira is a beautiful spot but there are rocks which on both sides which you need to beware. When the tides change there are strong currents, the most difficult being when the tide goes up with a north-west wind as naturally you loose speed. With high tide there are strong currents on the shore break. With low tide the waves outside are clean and smooth.
