Cabedelo do Douro is the closest spot to Porto, just at the end of the Douro river. It is protected by a Pier, it is nice for a flat water spot. The sand beach is easy to access and there are no rock hazards. This spot works with many wind directions: from North to South-West.

Cabedelo do Douro works all year and the water temperature is good until November with a wetsuit.
Best wind conditions are West and North West winds although it also works with South west.
The water is usually very flat as there is a pier protecting the beach.
There is no shop and no school.
Access to the beach is easy from the parking location.
There are no showers available.
There are no lifeguards on the beach.
Be cautious and know your basic safety. Preferably go out with a group.
